I Know Them

Hello Everyone!

This week was a great one! And they are starting to go by faster and faster!

Yesterday in church someone bore there testimony about how they sometimes see someone they know that they know from somewhere, but they know they haven't ever talked to them in their life. That's how I feel about most of the people here in Payette, Idaho! When I first got here I was introduced to a lot of the members, and I could not think for the life of me where I had met some of these people before! But, you know what!? Now I know exactly where I know them from! And it's not because I used to live here! ;) Its from pre-earth life! All these people I know from somewhere I know from the Spirit World! And it just reminds me of why I got called to serve here in Idaho! It's because I know these people! One person in particular is 'Grandma Stowell'! When I first met her I could not for the life of me think of where I knew her from! And if I didn't actually know her, then I could not for the life of me think of who I did know that she reminded me so much of! But, as the weeks have passed I've come to realize that I've known her for forever! From Pre-Earth life!! She is my adopted mission grandma! And she calls me Grandson Waite! It's hilarious, and she is just the happiest person I know! I love her!

We had a baptism on Saturday! 9-year-old Eli got baptized! It was a great experience! He's a great kid! We also have a family on date to be baptized on the 15th of October! But I'm worried about if I can be there or not because transfers are going to be a little bit different and instead of getting transfer calls on Saturday and going to your new area on Monday we will be getting them on Friday and going to our new areas on Saturday which is the day of the baptism! ah! I hope I stay!

Today is going to be a great day! because we are in the prettiest place in Idaho! (besides the temples of course) McCall!! We are going to go on a hike and probably play some basketball later today:) So I'm pretty excited for that of course;)

I hope that everyones week was great! How is school going SJ?? Whats new?? I hope everyone has a great week this week! You are all in my thoughts and prayers! I love you all!

Love,

I Love Payette

Hey Everyone!

Well, another one down! This week went by fast! Saturday kinda drug along but other than that it was a great week! We did a lot of service for an old member couple! They are awesome and my companion and I have adopted them as our grandparents! She calls me grandson Waite. It's hilarious!

Update on Edwin. He's progressing well and loves to learn! We taught him the plan of salvation yesterday. And guess what!? his dad and little brother are wanting to get baptized as well! They are on date for October 15th!

I know that this gospel is true. I know that through Christ and His atonement we can all go back to live with our Father in heaven again someday! I am so thankful for Him and for our savior Jesus Christ. I know that if we turn to Him in everything we do He will help us! Remember that always!

For all you SJ kids. How's school going? How's seminary!? Are you going?? Are you paying attention?? I'd love to hear from you all! Hang in there everybody!

I love you all! Have a great week!

Jacob sent me all the photos from the car show last week! I told him he must have been really excited because most of the photos are blurry! ha ha! He says he loves Payette and will be so sad to leave when the time comes because there are so many awesome people there. He loves his study time everyday and is learning so much. Also, the time has suddenly started to fly by for him and for us. It's a good thing because we miss him.

Inspiration and Cars!

Hello Everyone!

So again, not much time! Sorry! So, I'll just go straight into it!

On Thursday, we got a call out of the blue from a recent convert. She said that a couple of her step-sons were super interested in the church and wanted to be baptized! She asked if we could come by on Saturday! So that was a miracle in and of itself. But wait! There's more! We had run out of Books of Mormon on Wednesday and Friday was zone meeting. So we just took 3 from the zone leaders on Friday and on our way back from the zone meeting the same lady called us and asked if we could remember to bring 3 Books of Mormon for her husband and the two boys! What?!? Talk about inspiration, right!? So now we ran out of them again, but hey! they got what they needed right!?

Anyway, my week was good. I hope all of yours was too! And I hope everyone has a great week this week! I love you all!

-Elder Waite

Jacob said they were spending the day in McCall and he said it's so pretty up there. He took lots of pictures when they were there on Thursday for some interviews but he forgot to bring his camera with him for emailing today! I guess we'll just have to wait till next week to see them! Here's something exciting he told me in his email to me:

"On Friday there was a car show. Payette has this annual cruise night where everyone drives their old classic cars up and down main street all night. We went and I was on cloud 9. '65 mustangs left and right! And some lady let me sit in her '56 Thunderbird! I have a lot of pictures from that too.. but my camera is in Payette. dangit."

That just made me happy because he is such a car guy! I'm sure he was in heaven! We'll all have to wait for the pictures till next week, though...

Remember!

Hey Everyone!

This week was pretty great! Transfer calls came in! I'll be staying in Payette Idaho for another transfer! So, I am pretty excited about that! Payette is awesome! Funny story, when I first got here i saw that there were mailboxes. Well, there aren't any of those in St. Johns so you could imagine my confusion! My companion kinda had to teach me how to use one! haha, I had never used one before!!

Well its been a crazy day! We ran a lot of people around everywhere because of transfers! That's why I don't have a lot of time to email this week.

We have a 9 year old boy named Eli on date to be baptized on the 24th! So, that's pretty exciting!

I hope everyone had a good week! REMEMBER that Heavenly Father loves you. REMEMBER ALWAYS what your savior Jesus Christ did for YOU by suffering in Gethsemane and dying on the cross. REMEMBER to always trust in him and you can never go wrong. REMEMBER that He loves you!!

I have to go but I hope everyone has a good week! REMEMBER!

-Elder Waite

Jacob tells me that he is 'the talk of the mission' because he used to live there! I even have several friends in the mission that have promised to take care of him if he's in their area! So fun! He sounds great and looks good so this mom is happy.
